Ron and I are living our retirement dream — dividing our time between the rural/natural setting of Grants Pass, Oregon and the small island community of Alameda, California.

We stay active by selling antiques and vintage-inspired artwork at flea markets, street faires and specialty shows in California.

The purpose of this information blog is to provide upcoming show dates and photo previews for our customers. We promise: no personal ramblings, no pictures of our adorable grandchildren, no recipes ... just merchandise we've gathered for our next show.

Thanks for stopping by,
         —Marilyn

More things ready for Alameda!  The ALAMEDA POINT ANTIQUES MARKET is this Sunday, September 5th.  Ron and I will be in our usual corner space C-6 . . .

We’re driving down to California tomorrow.  Ron is all done but I still have some chandeliers to crystal and a few little benches/stools to upholster.  I’ll try to do one more posting before Sunday!  Marilyn

Almost time for Alameda Point!  Ron’s been restoring a damaged pansy oil painting and I’ve been doing some painting too.  While we’re waiting for everything to dry, here are a few more pictures:

Ah, a day in the country.  I drove to Roseburg yesterday to visit the Bairds Barn Sale.  John just returned from Kansas with a huge trailerload of mostly farm primitives:

I brought home 6 lightening rods, 6 architectural headers, 11 plinth blocks, a pale blue case of shelves, and some small items:

In case you want to visit the Bairds, you can call them at (541)673-6470 or email them at  jkbairdrvf@dcwisp.net.  Marilyn

It was a little nippy at Candlestick last Sunday but I will never complain again — it has been HOT HOT HOT since we returned to Grants Pass!!!  But I toughed it out and went shopping (don’t I have a rough life?)   Here are a few of my finds:

We’re on a roll!  Since a sweet young thing at Alameda Point told me she checks our blog every day to see if there’s a new post, I’m feeling compelled to post more often.  So, here we go sweet young thing whose name I don’t remember — this one’s for you:

    Maybe I could show one picture a day . . . Marilyn

It’s a new month and time to start all over again!  Although this month’s “theme” will still feature lots of neutral tones,  I have been assembling a collection of decorative primitives/industrial pieces for a little different look this time: more architectural and metals.  Here are some examples:

    More soon, Marilyn
